Great Lake Swimmers new album is pretty good, should appeal to some folk on here- alt country folk rock from Canada It's like one of those 3000 calorie desserts that start with a gooey brownie on the bottom and then have ice cream and then topping after topping of deliciousness. If you haven't heard Microcastle, you're seriously missing out.
I was going to say Deerhunter - Microcastle, and glad to see others agree. My life is dirt but you seem to make it cleaner. I really liked the first track off of The Chemistry of Common Life by Fucked Up. I should have also mentioned Petits Fours regarding music I'm listening to, though that may be obvious. Super, the friend who turned me on to Fleet Foxes raved about Bon Iver, so he's on my list of artists to check out. I like Bon Iver's cd.it's from 2008 also.For Emma, Forever Ago. I am excited that new Wilco is coming out next week. So can't add too much to your list of anything new. I liked the Fleet Foxes cd from last summer: I just got it the beginning of this year. I love the Deerhunter as well.those 2 cd's Microcastle and Weird Era are great. I remember sitting in a basement listening to Fields of Marigold until I passed out. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
